Folding Wargame Table with Storage
I embarked on a project to build a folding wargame table that can also store all my miniatures and wargame scenery.
The project was inspired by seeing the IKEA Norden Gateleg folding table. However, I needed mine to be much bigger.
The table size is 2250 mm x 1500 mm at a height of 1 metre (I'm 6'5"). I used pine with some hardwood for the drawer runners. To keep the build as easy as possible, all joins are screwed and all timber cuts have been done using a table saw.
Table folded down with drawers in place. The drawers are 600 mm deep on one side and 800 mm deep on the other.
The table neatly folded down and tucked into a corner. Hardly noticeable!

Table unfolded without drawers. The four gatelegs make the table very sturdy despite the light construction.

Table up and game in progress. One of the smaller height drawers is open showing the figures stored in purpose-made adjustable compartments. It's easy to get the figure and scenery out on the table and also pack them away.
Excellent. Thanks
