Wargame Mat
Ordered a fleece cloth from an on-line digital fabric printing company. I created a repeating 30cm x 30cm repeating design and just submitted it on-line. The picture below shows the end result. I was after a mottled olive-green with a very subtle hex grid.
Here is a close up showing a battalion of Russian Infantry in one of the hexes.
I've also used some foam mats under the fleece mat with rivers carved out and hills placed. River sections have then been placed on top of the mat. The hills are on the right. The river banks have come out nicely and the river itself sits neatly as if it is integrated into the mat. Note that the hexes are barely visible at this distance.
Below is the image file sent to the fabric printer. It's a 30 x 30 cm repeating pattern.
